2014 Santa Run Canceled and Cookies with Santa as Alternative Sticky

2014 Santa Run Canceled Meet for Cookies with Santa!

It is with deepest regrets that the Chaires-Capitola Volunteer Fire Department is forced to announce the cancelation of our annual Santa Run. This is an event that we have greatly enjoyed providing for the past many years to the communities we serve. However, due to our current level of staffing we are unable to put the Santa Run on this year. With our current level of staffing we felt that we could not safely provide the Santa Run and still provide for our primary mission which is the safety of the communities we serve. We greatly hope that we can restart this in the upcoming years.

With our need to cancel this much loved event we would like to take this opportunity to invite you to join our department. All training and equipment are supplied by the department and with a commitment of a minimal amount of time you can feel satisfied knowing you are helping to provide a vital service to this community.
As a reminder our volunteers are just that volunteers who offer their time to help serve and protect their communities and they receive no financial compensation for their efforts so please support your volunteers when you see them around the community.

The Chaires-Capitola Volunteer Fire Department would like to invite you to join Santa for cookies with the fire department. This event will take place on Saturday, December 20, 2014 between the hours of 6PM and 8PM at the Chaires Community Center located at 4768 Chaires Cross Rd, just north of the rail road tracks. Santa will be joining the CCVFD Firefighters to welcome the community and this festive season with cookies and drinks. There will also be ample opportunity to get photos with Santa. So, come out for a fun time and help show your support for your volunteer firefighters during this holiday season.
